Overview

Safety1stQR ("the App") is built by Safe Orbit Technologies to connect bystanders with a vehicle owner's emergency contacts during a roadside incident. This page explains what data we collect across the App and the public scan page, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It is written to align with Google Play's Data Safety disclosure requirements.

What we do not collect

• We do not display or share a vehicle owner's or emergency contact's real phone number with the bystander who scans a sticker, or vice versa.
• We do not sell personal data to third parties.
• We do not use location or photo data for advertising.

How data is shared

Data is shared only as needed to operate the emergency alert flow:

• Firebase (Google): authentication, database, storage, and push notifications.
• TeleCMI (masked telephony provider): routes calls between a bystander and an emergency contact through a masked number, without exposing either party's real number to the other.
• Emergency contacts you add: your vehicle details and alerts are visible to the emergency contacts you explicitly link via QR code.

Data retention & deletion

Account and vehicle data is retained as long as your account is active. Scan-time location and photo data is retained only as long as needed to support the emergency alert and is not kept indefinitely. You can request account and data deletion at any time by contacting us at the email below.

Security

Data is stored using Firebase's security infrastructure with role-based access rules, so that emergency contact information is only readable by authorized accounts. Calls are routed through masked telephony so real phone numbers are never exposed to the other party.

Your choices

• Location and photo sharing on the public scan page are opt-in — a bystander can decline either.
• Vehicle owners control who is added as an emergency contact and can remove a contact at any time.
• You may request a copy of your data, or ask us to delete your account, by writing to privacy@safety1stqr.com.

Children's data

Safety1stQR is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
