Our Story

Why we built Safety1stQR

Emergency contact stickers have existed for years โ€” a name and number scribbled or printed on a bumper. But that approach exposes personal phone numbers permanently, to anyone, for the life of the vehicle.

We set out to build something better: a system where any bystander can still reach the right people in seconds, but where identity and phone numbers stay protected on both sides of the call. That meant rethinking the entire flow โ€” from how QR codes are linked to a vehicle, to how alerts are delivered reliably even when an app is closed, to how a call connects two strangers without either learning the other's number.

"Every second matters in an emergency. So does making sure the system can't be misused once the moment has passed."

What We Stand For

Our principles

Privacy is non-negotiable

No feature ships if it exposes a phone number, location history, or contact list beyond what's strictly needed in the moment.

Speed under pressure

Every screen, from the scan page to the alert UI, is designed to be understood in seconds by someone who's stressed or in a hurry.

Built for real roads

Designed and tested around Indian driving conditions, vehicle types, and how people actually respond to roadside incidents.
